Mentoring & Supporting Children

The Migrant Mentoring Program matches community volunteers with a migrant child to meet weekly for duration of the family’s seasonal residence. The program improves academic achievement, develops cross-cultural connections, and increases access to the community for the children and their families. This program requires a yearly commitment to meet with mentees once a week. Recruitment for mentors begins in the early spring each year. learn more...

Logistics & Event Planning

The Lakeshore Region Summit on Race and Inclusion, a bi-annual event, requires a many volunteers to assist with pre-conference marketing, materials preparation, and logistics. learn more...

Facilitating & Presenting

The Calling All Colors program needs several facilitators to lead student groups through a provided dialogue/activity at each of the four conferences per year. We also seek out individuals with a passion for diversity and working with young people to become Advocates. These volunteers commit to working with a student group for 2-3 hours a week all school year long to facilitate provided curriculum and assist the students in creating real change in their schools, and community. learn more...
