Institutes use discussions, videos, literature, and group exercises to explore racism and intentional and unintentional discrimination, help participants gain an understanding of how racism is played out in everyday life and its effect on people of every race, and how to become "allies" in the fight against racism. Called a "life-changing experience" by many who have taken part.
