Holland to host town meeting on racism

HOLLAND-The public is invited to share their ideas, stories and issues concerning racism during a Macatawa area Town Meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 7p.m. The event will take place at St. Francis de Sales Church, located at 171 W. 13th St. in Holland.

Hoa Huynh, Lorna Hernandez Jarvis, Kristina Kyles, Pat Lamb and Danny Sphabamixay will speak about their personal experiences in confronting racism. Open microphones will be available for others to tell their stories as well. The issues raised at this meeting will be addressed in a day-long Summit on Racism to be held at Hope College on March 20, 2001.
