Michigan has the most racially segregated public schools and one of the highest minority dropout rates in the country. Learn the problems students and systems experience, and models for improving minority graduation rates. Dr. Percy Bates, University of Michigan Professor of Education and Director of Program for Educational Opportunity, will discuss the impact of segregation on our public schools and models for reducing the high minority dropout rate n Michigan.
