The summit returns for its sixth year with a new format, content and keynote speakers.

Take a day to make a difference.
May 20, 2008 Hope College

The summit brings people together. Be there to help advance racial equity and offer economic opportunity for everyone.

The summit is a response to the big challenges our region faces. Job losses, housing price declines, cuts in school funding— these issues tug at the fabric of our community. The Ottawa area has long been a model for others. Today it is becoming a mirror—reflecting the economic, educational, and social distress of many mid-size population centers.

Join us May 20 to:
• Learn why racial segregation leads to social and economic decline
• Understand how racial inclusion benefits everyone, not just a few
• Develop the tools you need to make a positive difference in our community

Why the summit? Because in a diverse community, we must draw on the strengths of all of our people. It’s the only way to promote the social and economic well-being of the region as a whole.
