Curriculum

The Diversity Alliance offers courses for adults, youth, and businesses. Students are encouraged to utilize their skills to interact with native speakers both locally and abroad.

2010 Spanish class participants showed a 225% increase in knowledge as demonstrated through the pre- and post-test scores.

We currently offer Spanish language classes, but are open to additional languages if demand is present. Students must purchase the book Easy Spanish Step By Step, by Barbara Bregstein.

Level 1 (Beginner's) Curriculum

Level 2 Curriculum
  • Review and Expansion of Level I Curriculum

  • Negatives and Prepositions
Placement Test
If you are considering participating in one of our Spanish Language courses, we require you to first take our Placement Test to determine which course would be the best fit for your skills. take test...
  • Take Level 1 if you scored between ... 0-45%
  • Take Level 2 if you scored between ... 50-85%
  • Take Level 3 if you scored between ... 85-100%
Community Courses

The Diversity Alliance offers the following language course models to the community:
  • 10-Week Class
    Students meet once weekly for two hours, for ten consecutive weeks. Cost is $100.

  • 4-Day Intensive Camps
    Students meet for 3 hours, for 4 consecutive days.

    Cost is $150. Authentic dinner is provided.

  • Small Group Class
    A maximum of five students meet weekly for 2 hours, for 4 consecutive weeks.
    Cost is $150.
Generally, two 10-week courses are held in the spring and fall of each year, one in Holland, and one in Grand Haven.
