Migrant Mentoring Outcome Report (2008)

Fifty-three children were matched with mentors during the 2007-2008 season. Outcomes are measured at the end of the Program year, and the outcome model was developed by Public Private Ventures. The Program also tracks cumulative high school graduation and college enrollment rates for participants who are old enough to achieve these goals. These rates reflect former Program participants from all previous years up to and including 2008. According to the US Department of Education, migrant students have a 40 to 45% rate of high school graduation nation-wide.
