Seventy-one children were matched with mentors during the 2009 season. Outcomes are measured at the end of the Program year, and the outcome model was developed by Public Private Ventures. The Program also tracks cumulative high school graduation and college enrollment rates for participants who are old enough to achieve these goals. These rates reflect former Program participants from all previous years up to and including 2009. According to the US Department of Education, migrant students have a 40 to 45% rate of high school graduation nation-wide. Since its inception, the Migrant Mentoring Program has impacted at total of 208 migrant children.
