On June 01, Gail Harrison, the Executive Director of the Lakeshore Ethnic Diversity Alliance, was featured in the local newspaper as a guest columnist of an article titled, "Is 'Whites Only' a good thing at its core?" read article...

On June 02, The Diversity Alliance, partnering with many local diversity advocates and organizations, sponsored a Community Forum in response to the organization of the "whites-only" event.

The two major focus areas at the forum where, "What kind of community do we want to be?" and "How do we get there?" Individuals were also invited to sign a community statement.

Over 1,000 names of support were collected and ran along with the statement as a full-page ad in the Holland Sentinel. view ad...
