The LEDA Summit on Race and Inclusion is an annual event that examines the effects of racial disparities and strategies for their elimination at a day-long conference involving hundreds of participants from across the state of Michigan. It is designed to engage community members and key stakeholders in eliminating racial barriers in the lakeshore region and beyond.

Who can Participate?
The Summit on Race and Inclusion is open to the public. Anyone who is interested in the intersections of race in daily life are welcome to join. Professionals in business, government, education, faith, and health sectors are all encouraged to participate.
How often does the Summit happen? Is it on the same day each year?
The Summit on Race and Inclusion is held every year in late spring. This year’s Summit will be held in mid-June at Hope College in Holland, MI.

Quick Stats from Last Year's Summit
- Over 700 people participated in Summit 2018.
- The 2018 Summit keynote speaker was Dr. Joy DeGruy, author of Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome (PTSS). She is an internationally recognized researcher, presenter known for her work on the residual effects of multi-generational trauma and stress on the African-American community.
- 97% of participants said they felt the Summit “increased [their] ability to be a partner in the racial equity movement.”
